| Tyler is of Cree ancestry and was raised in Vancouver. He is currently a partner in Sea Hiker Adventures, a private company which created a unique approach for adult audiences to learn to swim effectively. Tyler has also applied similar methods to instructing freedivers (breath hold diving) alongside Sea Hiker and the freediving world record holder, William Trubridge. Tyler is one of the top competitive and recreational freedivers in Canada and a board member of AIDA Canada (Canadian designate for the international freediving organization called AIDA). Similarly, Tyler is in the process of applying his methods to skill development for other land and aquatic activities.
Tyler has an 18 year background in the IT industry and has also worked as a business writer. His skills and experiences also include critical thinking, photography, videography, sailing, philosophy, and psychology. This collection of skills and experiences is one Tyler is using to develop education approaches and media with the intent to inspire change and betterment of our individual and collective experiences on this planet. Since his teenage years Tyler Zetterstrom’s main pursuit has been that of self-respect and self-knowledge. Holding the belief that his practical interaction with the environment and the societies he encounters is a mirror of his internal accomplishments, Tyler has undertaken skills and experiences that he finds to nurture the human spirit and our existence together. |
