| Throughout Lisa’s career in the Public Service, there is a constant theme of hard work, turning ideas into solutions, respect, ingenuity, and effective leadership. Lisa has 28 years of experience in a variety of sectors within the public sector, including energy and mines, education, tourism, economic development, employment and training, regulatory operations, international marketing and health, and has acquired skills and competencies as an effective leader.
Lisa worked extensively with First Nations in British Columbia and across the country. Lisa has received both the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Excellence in the Public Service, in particular for her more than 15 years working with and in support of First Nation communities and Aboriginal people, and the Order of The Sash from the Métis Nation of BC. Lisa has expertise in economic and social development, government practices and processes, strategic and business planning, stakeholder and community engagement, nurturing partnerships, and leadership in the development of major initiatives. Economic and business development, turning ideas into solutions, innovative programming and policy leadership have been themes in Lisa’s work for over 28 years, working with government, First Nations, Aboriginal organizations, business and community. Lisa has undertaken extensive collaboration with governments, business, not-for-profit organizations, stakeholders and communities in the development of plans and policy platforms. Lisa brings this knowledge, as well as a wide network of contacts and relationships, to assist organizations in achieving their goals. Her collaborative approach helps to build and sustain partnerships and effective relationships in all endeavors. |
