| David is a husband to Jillian and father to Peter, Rebecca, and Jane, each of whom have their own partners. Any spare time he finds is spent in the kitchen feeding them all, and with Jillian, creating a comfortable and welcoming home for all to return to. The family home is in Brentwood Bay British Columbia, in the beautiful traditional territory of the Tsartlip and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations.
David is a Registered Professional Forester in B.C. and Ontario. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Forestry from the University of Toronto in 1983. David currently provides support to aboriginal and non-aboriginal clients in the fields of strategic planning and resource stewardship, resource referrals, consultation and reconciliation, and economic and community capacity development. David assists all parties in reconciling the past and moving to an inclusive future. He delivers effective plans and programs knowing that economic development is the foundation for cultural rebirth. Keenly aware of how interconnected are land, place, forests, people, stories, language, names, and knowledge, David has been successful in reflecting the vision of his aboriginal clients in the products he delivers. Mr. Carson has been assisting In-SHUCK-ch Nation for over a decade. David strives to consistently build value for all parties with an interest in the land. All benefit when there is engagement on reconciliation, when we advance aboriginal stewardship, when we develop community capacity. |
