| With a tempered approach, Colin is discerning where he spends his time and effort. He is a strategist and professional communicator, with special talent for connecting people together to create new business opportunities.
Colin has a passion for new and innovative projects that involve First Nations, clean technology and social ventures. Due to the complex nature of these interests, his expertise in anticipating obstacles, recognizing priorities and overcoming legislative, organizational or financial roadblocks are key to moving projects forward in a positive and stable direction. His approach is built upon the recognition of just how important constructive relationships are to achieving success. By focusing on the relationships between people, our environment and the increasing amount of information and knowledge available to us, Colin creates specific, solution-oriented advantages for everything he works on. Over the last ten years, Colin has obtained extensive experience and knowledge in relation to all levels of government and First Nations. Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation in 2005, Colin was a part of the team responsible for the launch of the “New Relationship” with First Nations. Alongside the minister, he helped to lead one of Provincial Government’s most impactful policy shifts. During his time at BC Hydro, his interest in issues involving with sustainability grew after working the campaign for electricity conservation and the decision to implement government-wide GHG emission targets. Colin is committed to life-long learning as well as giving back to his community. An active volunteer in his community, Colin is Director of the BC Environmental Industry Association and Committee Member for the BC Sustainable Energy Association.
